The winding roads of grief by D A Angelo

The winding roads of grief

A split open log
after the storm

Flares of crows
rising

A flash of egrets
by the river
once the season
settles

by D A Angelo

Editor’s Note: Sometimes the deepest emotion is perfectly captured with only a few spare lines of poetry.

A wonderful poem.Did you know a group of crows is called a murder of crows ? The term would not work here – would be confusing, I think.
