Autumn Sky Poetry DAILY publishes one poem each weekday and two featured poems on the weekend: the Saturday book feature and From the archives.
The editor reserves the right to skip a day here and there, depending on the poems received, vacation time, and scheduled hiatuses.
What does the editor like? –> formal poems, free verse, alliteration, metaphor, personification, imagery, and all the other things that make poetry an art form.
What does the editor dislike? –> missing articles, non-thoughtful line breaks, tortured meter, clichés, bad sonics, and all the other things that make poetry unpleasant to read.
Autumn Sky Poetry was first established in 2006 as a quarterly publication, and has gone through several long breaks and renovations, eventually becoming a daily publication in 2015.
About the editor
Christine Klocek-Lim grew up in northeast Pennsylvania, attended Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh where she studied Professional Writing, and then worked as a technical writer in Manhattan for a short time before moving back to her home state. For the past two decades she’s resided in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania.
Christine received the 2009 Ellen La Forge Memorial Prize in poetry. Her full-length poetry collection, Dark Matter, was published by Aldrich Press in 2015. She has four chapbooks: Ballroom – a love story, Cloud Studies – a sonnet sequence, How to photograph the heart, and The book of small treasures, one young adult novel, Disintegrate, and a sci-fi romance, Who Saw the Deep.
Her work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and was a finalist for 3 Quarks Daily’s Prize in Arts & Literature, Black Lawrence Press’ Black River Chapbook Competition, the Kenneth & Geraldine Gell Poetry Prize, as well as a semi-finalist for the Crab Orchard Series in Poetry First Book Award, the Sawtooth Poetry Prize, the Philip Levine Prize in Poetry, and for the Brittingham and Pollak Poetry Prizes.
She was an Acquiring Editor for Evernight Teen and Evernight Publishing from 2014 to 2019. She writes romance as Erin M. Leaf and has received multiple Evernight Readers’ Choice Awards in various categories (2014 through 2020). She has written over sixty romance novels/novellas since 2010.

Developmental editing, line edits, and proofreading for single poems, chapbooks, and full length books — Christine is an experienced poet and editor with years of experience critiquing and editing poetry, both formal and free verse.
As chief editor and founder of Autumn Sky Poetry DAILY, she has over ten years of experience with editing and interpreting poems. As Site Administrator of Poets.org’s online forum from 2006-2012, she has experience guiding online workshop critique. What does she offer? — a personalized experience, close attention to detail, and knowledge of poetic forms, both free verse and formal.
She usually completes both line edits and developmental editing at the same time. Line edits include a detailed read of each poem with comments on word choice, line breaks, meter, grammar, punctuation, etc. Developmental edits include comments about the collection as a whole and suggestions for improvement.
If she believes a poem is well-written, she will not write criticism simply for the sake of commenting. Her value is the experience she brings to the table.
She is available to edit using most online editing tools (Microsoft Word, Text Edit, Apple Pages, Google Docs, etc.). If you prefer the old-fashioned mode (i.e. paper and pen), this can be discussed in the initial inquiry.
Her editing philosophy — to make your poems your best work, not to rewrite them. To that end, she offers suggestions and clear guidance. She believes that editing a work of poetry involves a dialogue rather than criticism.

Single Poems (2 pages/70 line max): $20 each
Chapbooks, 25 – 30 pages: $500
Full length book, 40 – 80 pages: $700
For chapbooks and books, after we come to an agreement via email, Christine will forward an invoice to you for half the fee prior to receiving your book, and editing will not commence until payment is received. After edits have been completed to your satisfaction (each client can receive up to three rounds of edits, depending on complexity), a new invoice for the remainder of the fee will be emailed.
For single poems, Christine requires payment before editing. Each poem can receive up to three rounds of edits, depending on complexity.
